At this age:
- He turns his head to the sound of my voice
- He stops crying when I sing to him.
- He can turn his head while on his tummy
- And he loves loves loves to be held.
- Fussy time is usually between 9p-10p
- He loves to nuzzle at the breast after eating
- Wakes up around 2:45am and in the 5am hour to eat
Question: When did you pick a bedtime for your little one? And when is it? He still sleeps alot during the day and night. Did your child's bedtime change once you went back to work? I still have 8 weeks of maternity leave.

I don't really remember when we started a bedtime for Jack. We did bath time around 7:00, we fed him and did snuggles. He was down around 8:00.
We never really put him on a schedule we followed his cues and continue to do so. If some nights he seems sleepy earlier we start on the bedtime routine. Since starting daycare he's been sleepy sooner so bath time is starting at 6:30ish and he's usually down by 7:30.
it took us a really long time to institute a bedtime - we should have done it sooner! now, we start bathtime at 7:00, then do some quiet breastfeeding, and hope she's in bed by 8:00.
the picture is adorable! look at all that sweet hair! my baby is a baldy :D
Oh my goodness. He looks like a little man in that picture! He is just gorgeous!
WOW!! 4 weeks already!! Man how time flies! He is sooooo cute!
Sorry I don't have any babies of my own yet. Can't give any advice on bedtime. But I am reading others' responses for future references.
Love those chubby cheeks! He is growing so fast! At that age, its almost like you can watch them outgrow their clothes, lol.
I started a bedtime routine/schedule from the time we got home from the NICU keeping in mind what life would be like when I had to go back to work. I have to leave for work by 7:15 at the latest, so we go to bed fairly early around here. We did bath around 6, snuggling/bottle and in bed by 7. He was sleeping about 7-9 hours at a stretch by the time I went back to work at 7 weeks, and I think having a routine helped set the stage for that. He has always been a good sleeper. He went from 9 hours to sleeping about 11-12 hours in a matter of weeks. He never napped much during the day though.
Once you pick a bedtime, be prepared to get harassed by people who get irritated that you don't accept invites or you leave things early to keep your routine going.
OMG!!! he is soooo very cute!!! i love him!
GP used to go to bed at around 7pm before she started going to daycare. i find her most nights going to be at around 8 or 9pm now because we get home later from daycare and she still needs to eat and bathe and the likes. not to mention, we like to get some play time in with her.
He is SOOO Cute!!! love his hair!
and wow, he is long. He's definitely going to be tall.
