- I'm sick of the snow. I hope I'm in LA this time next year.
- During my prenatal appt today, my stomach measured 33inches while I'm only 27 weeks so they are going to measure the baby during the u/s which is scheduled for Tuesday. I have a fear that even though I've only gained 6 of the 12 pounds that I lost during the first tri, I have GD. FYI= general rule of thumb is the your size of your stomach should correlate with the number of weeks that you are with a 1-2 inch allowance. I don't even look that freaken big so I was surprised.
- The u/s was initially scheduled to rule out placenta previa. Fingers crossed that I don't have that either. I'd be devastated if I had to switch from Mr. Midwife.
- This weekend we plan to paint the baby's room. Might as well do something as I can't freaken drive anywhere due to the crappy snowy roads.
- The new schedule was passed out today at work and I'm scheduled for a lot of evening shifts instead of the daytime shifts I became so use to. I'm so incredibly disappointed by this. My body has such a difficult time functioning in the evening because I"m so tired and it's especially hard switching back and forth from evening to daytime hours. The only perk is that I can sleep in on evening days and I can get errands done.
- I was met with a slightly flooded basement this morning. Seems like the drain (sewer?) is backing up AGAIN. I think we've had this problem addressed by the plumber at least 5 times in the past. I closed the basement/kitchen door in hopes that it will go away. I don't think that will happen so I'll be calling the plumber in the morning with an open checkbook. It's always freaken something.

What a rotten day! I hope your u/s goes well. And even if you do have a low-lying placenta now, there is plenty of time for it to migrate upwards! I measured big too, and only gained a total of 12lbs when I was pregnant with Farty. I failed the 1 hour glucose test, but passed the 3 hour one just fine.
I am stuck in winter hell too, but have no intention of moving. Who would buy this money pit, lol?
I feel a little bit better about the flood situation after talking to my dad this evening. He said he thinks the ground is frozen and there is water in the pipes that froze causing the backup. Makes sense as the other times we've had the plumber out for this situation was during the winter months. Fingers crossed people.
I'd be quite cranky too if I were dealing with all of that crap! I hope working on SugarPlum's room provides a welcome diversion. I can't wait to see pictures!
